CA is the Future   -  SMDs  -  Credit Cards

Ploughing was invented thousands of years ago allowing more efficient production of food.
There was only one snag which no-one noticed/thought important for a long time. The soil slowly disappears - perhaps only a millimeter per year (it can be a lot more) - but it adds up!

This didn't seem to matter where the soil was deep and thick but about 100 years ago the colonialists arrived in Africa and insisted that everyone must take up ploughing.
However much of Africa has poor thin soils and when ploughed they get washed away in each  rain storm and enormous areas have no soil left!

Now even Western countries are getting worried and some are using CA for their agriculture.
In Belgium farmers are even paid NOT TO PLOUGH!

We are working towards producing CA leaflets/videos for subsistence farmers.

Some Comments from Mark Noar soon going to Togo

3.      The wick pots are such a wonderful idea.  I think that we are going to plant them along the with the tea plants that are going into the hills now.  It will protect them during the dry season.
4.      I am working on the idea of using a small solar pump to pump water to a larger vessel atop the hill and feed the pots on the hillside below
5.      Finally, I am designing a crop nursery concept, using the wick pots, that will permit year round nursery planting.  This will allow development of coffee, tea or other crop nurseries to flourish even in the dry seasons.  Solar pumps can keep the water flowing.
Best, Mrk   (Noar Foundation)
