Hi Graham, Chris, Bala, Jim and open letter readers on posterous

I am introducing you because of you have overlapping interests related to appropriate technology / power generation / alternatives to traditional fuels / and eco-related issues.

For a bit more about the people you don't already know please see:

Chris - http://www.dadamac.net/network/chris-watkins
Graham - http://www.dadamac.net/network/graham-knight,
Bala - http://www.dadamac.net/network/bidi-bala
Jim - http://www.dadamac.net/network/jim-guy

Areas of overlap

  • I think Chris and Graham may find overlapping interests to do with alternatives fuel supplies.
  • I think Chis and Jim may have overlapping interests regarding irrigation, and pumps, and the fish farm
  • I know Bala and Graham already know each other, and Jim and Bala know each other and there are various areas of overlap between all three and Chris.

Chris and biofuel

I have just been to the Appropedia front page and see that Biofuel is currently top of the agenda:

Using Waste Biomass in Cameroon

The NGO WIDCO  in Cameroon have started testing the simple 'bucket' stove and photos are available on request.

A report will be shown later on their website http://www.widco.org/

It is all too apparent that many people believe that biomass waste is useless so they are burning trees in their wood stoves when they could burn waste.

This is costly both in money and for nature!

Do enquire about this possibility if if you know of any biomass near you such as sawdust, rice husks, bagasse, coconut residue, charcoal dust, etc, etc.
