Hi John

This is information about the consultation document that I mentioned at last week's meeting.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Take part in our public consultation to reform CDC Group plc - http://www.dfid.gov.uk/ReformingCDC
CDC, the UK Government owned development finance institution, is being reviewed and reformed. We're keen to hear innovative, evidence-based ideas on where CDC should invest and how it can best catalyse more private investment.
This is your chance to help us increase the impact of CDC on economic development and poverty reduction.
About CDC
CDC’s role is to stimulate economic growth by providing much needed capital for investment in sustainable and responsibly managed private sector businesses in developing countries, with an emphasis on sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
A reformed CDC will be at the forefront of the UK’s efforts to intensify its work with business as part of the fight against poverty in the world's poorest countries.
Taking part
Have your say in the consultation completing our online questionnaire at: www.surveymonkey.com/s/ReformingCDC
Alternatively, you can take part by downloading the Background Information and completing the Consultation Questions documents on the right side of this page.
What happens next?
This consultation will close on 31 January 2011. The feedback gathered will inform CDC’s new business plan, which will be published in Spring next year and made available on the DFID website.
If you have any questions about the consultation, please contact:
I heard about it when I attended a Business Fight Poverty meeting last Tuesday on Harnessing the Power of Business for Development Impact.
