Local
Zittnet http://www.dadamac.net/projects/business-sme-livelihoods/zittnet-rural-connectivity-ongoing
Bala probably not able to attend. John D or Chollom to input on that?
Is Zittnet concerned with information and communication issues regarding content - or solely with physical delivery of information - i.e. how you work as an ISP
Do people connected with Zittnet have any professional development needs that we can help to provide through KRC?
Practicalities of power supply - should Zittnet tell us about their experience with dual power at this stage or when we discuss apporpriate technology

KRC and communication
Issues of lack of computers, bandwidth limitations, power supply,  individual people using own laptops and phones, reaching out to surrounding areas

Community radio - Implications of recents changes in law ref allowing it.

Dadmac elsewhere - communication issues ref other dadamac people in Africa - eg the people at Ago-Are, other people in Africa via John's networks and Pam's MS connections.

Global -

  • Opportunities to connect with worldwide networks - COTW - others? - Does anyone at KRC want to get involved communicating globally at this stage or are they too busy with local practicalities.
  • Thanks to connectivity via Zittnet there is the possibility of setting up new KRC support groups  - like we had the yahoo group for TT -  already have some people for that Maria giving librarian advice, Richard giving resources and more ref cameras4communication and livelihoods, Marcus giving his eco-shelter talk (straw bales and eco-dome construction)  and associated resources (including notes Perry translated into Hausa), Richard Heller collaborating with John and health worker resources, Jen with Bee-keeping, Nikki with Sickle Cell.. and is frances interested in KRC or is her focus on other initiatives at Fantsuam?

Should KRC support group be addressed at this stage of the programme or elsewhere .. where?
