Hi Ken and Peter

Reference our recent discussion on the benefits and disadvantages of traditional formal education compared to the benefits and disadvantages of non-formal learning and challenging real life-experiences:

I was reading Sam Carlson: There is Enormous Wastage in the Implementation of Education Technology for Schools

The following excerpt attracted my attention
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unless the board exam system changes to measure things that educational technology can help develop in terms of information reasoning skills, problem solving skills, collaborative skills, then that teacher will not invest time and energy in learning about the technology and how to use it, to enhance real fundamental learning.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This seems to me to completely echo the point I was making about you (Ken), and the Nafsi acrobats, and Pyramid of Peace. I would like to refer to those emails - but as I recall we were exchanging some of them as  personal emails. Is is okay if I share them? If not the whole thing could I share part? (NB - ref my use of the term "Open Source"- I'd like to edit that out as I think it might cause confusion. We can clarify elsewhere.)
