Hi Leon (and open letters readers)
Good to hear from you. I'm fine, but very busy which is why I haven't got back to you before.
I haven't connected up with Chris yet. I guess this is partly because I decided against trying to dash for the funding opportunity we discussed (which was the main purpose of the introduction). It would have been totally unrealistic to try seeing how late i heard about it - but the conversation that we had, bouncing ideas around against the possibility of that funding, were very helpful.
I keep finding situation where I wish "we"( i.e. me and various other people I am working with) were working within the kind of space that the Confluence Wiki offers. I am still interested in finding a way to progress the Confluence Wiki (see August 10, 2010 - #Brixvill - Confluence pop-ups and Safe Smiling Zones , August 25, 2010 - #Brixvill - Confluence pop-ups , August 26, 2010 - #Brixvill - Confluence pop-ups - the confluence wall , August 26, 2010 - #Brixvill - Confluence pop-ups - Skill Swarm and September 16, 2010 - Skill Swarm Continued.) I am exploring another possible way forward but it's early days and I have not got around to posting about it yet.
I believe the Confluence Wiki points to "where we really need to go to next" in terms of online networking for useful outcomes - following what we have all learned through the current social networking sites, with their mixed benefits and limitations.

We met yesterday for a "proper chat" He tweeted - Whoa! 4 hours meeting w/ @Pamela_McLean! Wasn't quick, but we got into some amazing stuff... Blog to come! :-) I think it might be out on Friday. He blogs at http://www.concretesolutions.org.uk/
I think there may be one more Summer of Opportunity Meeting - if so - shall we try to catch up there?
