I agree strongly with the "Micropatronage" idea - and am glad to find someone expressing it so clearly and moving forward with it.
Micropatronage is a system in which the public directly supports the work of others by making donations through the internet. It represents an emerging form of philanthropy where a community can help support a person in allowing them to do what they do.
