Professor Tim Unwin takes over the reins from Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah at CTO
London, 19 September, 2011 -- The Council of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) has confirmed the appointment of Prof. Tim Unwin as its new Chief Executive Officer. Tim Unwin is currently Professor of Geography and UNESCO Chair in ICT4D. His research and teaching focuses on the use of ICTs to empower poor and marginalised communities.
