NEWSLETTER

Dear Reader,

This week, Think Africa Press has run a series of reports from North Africa, including articles analysing the situations in rebel stronghold Benghazi and border town Saloum, both in Libya, and a report on the situation faced by Copts in Egypt after the ‘revolution’. While in what is an ongoing news story, South Africa president Jacob Zuma has attempted to broker a peace deal in Libya. As moves continue to oust one of North Africa’s longest serving leaders, West Africa welcomes a newly inaugurated president - Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria.

This weekend we will also be sponsoring Pan-Africanism for a New Generation, the inaugural conference hosted by the Oxford University African Society. Registration for the event is open until tomorrow (Thursday, June 2) at 5PM, click here for a preview.
