Help Kabissa win the Global Giving Challenge by August 15 July 18, 2010

Kabissa is honored to have been invited to take a coveted place on Global Giving, an online marketplace that connects you to the causes and countries you care about. You select the projects you want to support, make a tax-deductible contribution, and get regular progress updates - so you can see your impact. To keep our place, we need to raise at least $4000 from at least 50 people by 15 August.

As a volunteer-driven network, Kabissa's costs are low but they are not nonexistent! The budget for our first project on Global Giving is $20,000, which will cover the basic costs of running the Kabissa network. If we win the challenge, we will use our Global Giving membership to propose and raise funds for further projects to make Kabissa even more useful as a networking platform connecting people and organizations working in Africa.

To secure our place on Global Giving, we are asking for your help! If you like Kabissa or have benefited from membership over the years, please make a donation (even $10 helps!) on Kabissa's Global Giving Project Page at:

While you are there, please also "like" our project on Facebook to raise awareness of our project in your network, and use the sharing tools on the project page to send email to your friends to ask them to also support Kabissa.

About Kabissa

Kabissa (our name means completely in kiswahili) is a volunteer-led non-governmental organization founded in 1999. We help African civil society organizations to put Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to work for the benefit of their communities. We do this by providing an online platform where people and organizations working in Africa can showcase themselves and connect with each other.
