John's family and the " witch " December 2, 2010

We've found a safe house near FF for my son, we'll go and bring him home on saturday. Hav also made contacts so he can start school on Monday. He'll hav trauma counselling at FF to help him stabilise psychologically

John's "family"
John has a huge and ever expanding "family" - this is one reason why so many people call him "Baba". I remember meeting one of the grandmothers supported by his "Kaka" initiative - who was introduced to me as his "mother". I remember that one of his "mothers" had also been accused of being witch and had spent two weeks hiding in a swamp. I am not sure if he has more "children" or more "mothers"
I like to think there is some fund he can dip into to pay for the boy's schooling - but my suspicion is that John will dip into his own pocket first, and then see what can be done for money afterwards.

Maybe we could set up a fund to help John in his response to the ongoing problem of witchcraft. Within Dadamac we do have a mechanism for collecting money online if you want to give please donate at Dadamac Foundation. When it comes to the part asking for a message please say what you want your donation to be used for - otherwise it will be used as seems best at the time - NB our administration is by volunteers so Dadamac will not take out any admin costs.
