Hi Marcus

Thanks for the lunch-break/social-break phone call.

Here is more information as promised:

  • Global sustainability challenge - in the business of saving the planet - a model for what capitalism can and should be - we will rub minds on this to see if we can attract investment through it for some of Dadamac's underfunded initiatives.
  • Ref Nebula - I plan to drop in for the founder members' meeting on Friday between 9.00 and 12.00. It's one minute from one of the stops on the Victoria line. I think it could be a good place for us to use when you are in London and we want to meet centrally - no more meeting up at a Victoria station coffee shop and then deciding if we need to move on. It might suit Andy and me as a workspace somtimes too, instead of him always coming out to zone 4. Emile was explaining to me yesterday how he sees it working - and so I can see it being a useful additional "physical home" for Dadamac.  If he gets the membership he hopes to then I will appreciate the networking opportunities too. All kinds of potential benefits. I will certainly try it out.
  • Ref Topic Thursday this week. Usual time and log on details. Topic is continuation of stoves discussion. See notes on April First Thursday for a reminder of how to join in . This is what was arranged for the stoves.
    • Everyone  - EXTRA DATE -  FIFTH Thursday  meeting on - April 29th on stoves. (NB I can't count - I originally called it Fourth not Fifth Thursday) Graham and Clement (our stoves experts) thanks for agreeing to come back and continue the discussion at a meeting dedicated to stoves - usual time, usual place - just like today - but FIFTHThursday. Lino - sorry you will be flying then - but keep in touch and we will give you feedback. Bala - glad you can make it - it will be excellent if you and Clement know more about each others work given you have similar objectives and are both dealing with practical issues in the same country. Everyone is welcome. Stoves are not really "my thing" but I intend to come along to "listen in" and gain general knowledge from your discussions.

I'll be sending details out ref this week's Thursday meeting soon through "the usual channels" but it will simply cover what I pointed you to above.

You should be getting the agenda later today from Nikki for Wednesdays' UK-Nigeria team meeting, even though you have told me you can't attend. We'll give your apologies, and add an invitation to you anyhow so that you'll be able to read the Skype conference archive at your convenience. I'm not sure if you know that Nikki usually writes about Wednesday meeting on her blog before the end of the week. There is a link below the blog that you can click on in order to receive notifications of her blog (whenever she posts a new one).

Let me know if I've missed anything - we covered a lot and I was drinking tea, appreciating the break and the view from the balcony, and just chatting with you - not taking notes.
;-)
