To: Open Educational Resources - an online discussion forum <oer-forum@lists.esn.org.za>

Dear OER Forum member

The second discussion forum with the theme "What works, what does not and
under what conditions?" will commence at 07:00 (UTC) on Wednesday 20 October
2010.  At this time a very provocative paper, titled "Big Shift! From
Resources to Practices ...!" prepared by Prof Ulf Ehlers, will be posted to
the mailing list and also uploaded to the web site listed below.

More information on this and other forums and workshops that have been held
in the recent past can be found at http://oerworkshop.weebly.com

This message serves as an invitation to each one of you to participate in
the discussion.  This is a chance for everyone to share the good and bad of
their own OER experiences and practices.

As part of the global Open Access Week ( www.openaccessweek.org ) you might
also wish to encourage others who are not yet part of this very interesting
discussion to join the forum.  They should go to the following web site
where they will find more information about the discussion forum and be able
to register http://lists.esn.org.za/mailman/listinfo/oer-forum

Kind regards

Mike Chiles
