Anothere great edition of Think Africa Press. I recommend clicking on the front page link to the Nigerian elections. I also appreciated WEF’s ideas to combat jobless growth and high unemployment. I think there is a lot there which applies beyond Africa. The problems of joblessness and high unemployment are also relevant on our own doorstep here in the UK and elsewhere in Europe and USA (something to discuss in more detail at another time)

Dear Reader,

In the last fortnight Think Africa Press has been at the World Economic Forum on Africa (WEF) and the Pan-African Parliament. There will be more analysis on this these events in the coming week. Here you can read a discussion on health and business and WEF’s ideas to combat jobless growth and high unemployment.

Elsewhere, attention has once again shifted to Libya, with the rebel-led National Transitional Council visiting the USA in the latest stage of its search for international recognition, and the surfacing of Iman al-Obeidi - who stunned international media after bursting into a press briefing alleging her rape at the hands of Gaddafi soldiers – in Tunisia once again bringing to the surface the use of rape in conflict.

Below are a few highlights from the past week:

All the best for the rest of the week,

The Team at Think Africa Press
