"Community" is a recurring theme this month - and what it really means - in a local community sense and also in the online sense. Locally, in Kafanchan, John Dada and his team have been coping with community needs and tensions resulting from with post-election violence. Meanwhile Samwel and his local community are dealing with drought up at Mbita Island (and starting to get his scheme underway for helping local women to bring food in from Uganda to sell).

They are part of our online community - but online connections are very different from actually being in the same physical place as other people in a community, even if you know the people well. The term "post-web" came up this month and (more at http://www.dadamac.net/digest/05-2011 )
