I just signed up with OpenKollab

OpenKollab: http://wiki.openkollab.com Connecting Projects to Solve Massive Social Problems! This is an open project with the goal of catalyzing strategic confluence among related social venture projects.

Since OpenKollab is an open collaboration project, we continue to seek those that are interested in working with us! Due to the early stage nature of this project, virtually anyone that is interested in Open Collaboration can likely find some way to participate in this project. That said, at this stage of our evolution, we are seeking:

  • Technologists with a Vision: If you have an intuition that technology; collaboration technologies in particular, will revolutionize how we interact, then please take a close look at what we are working on.
  • Collaboration Lovers!: Do you believe that working together is essential if we are to make this world a better place? Are you committed to this, in principle? Do you just get it?...
  • WagN Developers: Since this wiki is being developed on WagN, we need those with specific technical expertise to work closely with us. We want to use WagN in as optimally efficient a manner as possible
  • Virtual Collaboration/Community Managers: We are building the OK community and we are interested in working with those that are simply interested in participating in the development of this community by helping to develop and define information flow, summarize discussions, develop and define collaborative processes that we can use to better manage our processes?

How I introduced myself

I'm interested in collaboration.

I live in the UK and I do a lot of work online - helping to bring people together. (I spend quite a bit of time thinking about what works and why, regarding online collaboration  - on the people side of things rather than the technical side).

I like the way the Internet enables us to learn from each other - to develop ideas and do practical stuff. I often introduce people to my friend John Dada in Nigeria  http://www.dadamac.net/about/john because he does great stuff and is looking for opportunities to collaborate.

I introduced Marcus Simmons because he had an eco project he wanted to try in Africa - so we gave him the opportunity to do it http://www.dadamac.net/projects/ecology-appropriate-technology/ecodome.

I introduced Prof DIck Heller because he wanted to do something online to use his skills and knowedge http://www.dadamac.net/projects/education-and-training/peoplesuni.

I believe we need better collaboration (genuine "equal respect"collaboration) betweendeveloped and developing nations http://www.dadamac.net/search/node/street%20lights. I believe we need to "rub minds" if we are to get a sustainable future - this is what I think about the future http://www.appropedia.org/TheFWD_pamela_mclean

You too?

Maybe you are interested in collaboration too.
