Witchcraft, an ongoing challenge in Ghana and Nigeria March 20, 2011
I just came across this thirty second trailer for a film 'What I Used to Know - The Road to Ghana's 'Witches' Camps' It's not just an issue in Ghana, so I posted this comment:

Sadly the issue of witchcraft is one that John Dada (of Fantsuam Foundation and Dadamac) often has to deal with in the community served by Fantsuam Foundation in North Central Nigeria. There were even some murmurings of witchcraft when there was a run of bad luck within Fantsuam Foundatoin, including sickness, road accidents, and storm damage to the Zittnet mast ( http://www.it46.se/show_entry.... ) .

At least one of the women in the Kaka's programme ( http://www.dadamac.net/node/14... ) had fled from her community after accusations of witchcraft.
John is often called on to intervene in situations where children have been accused of witchcraft and need to be rescued. ( http://www.dadamac.net/search/... and http://dadamac.posterous.com/w... )
Maybe there is some way we can help each other in addressing this issue.
