World wide connection project and Dadamac January 15, 2011
Hello David (and readers of my open letters at http://dadamac.posterous.com )
I have just come across world wide connection project (WWC http://www.connectory.org/ ). I am very impressed by what you are trying to do, and would like to explore overlapping interests
By way of introduction: I am based in the UK. I work with John Dada - in Nigeria - under the name Dadamac. We have weekly online meetings between team members in UK and in Nigeria.
- More about John - http://www.dadamac.net/about/john
- More about me - http://www.dadamac.net/about/pam
I wonder if you would be interested in some kind of link with John and his initiatives in Nigeria.
I represent Dadamac's interests online (and in the UK).
Dadamac introduces people and helps them to do useful things. Think of us a mixture of:
- introduction agency,
- facilitators,
- cross- cultural mediators,
- information conduit between "high bandwidth" organisations/individuals (such as yourself) and various individuals and groups in Africa - mainly, but not only, in Nigeria.
I note that you website is a work in progress and is not up to date - and I am keen to explore how WWP is progressing and if we can help each other. I am responding to your vision - not your latest update (and anyhow I have learned to be suspicious of organisations that look great but are "all website and little substance")
By the way I was interested to see that your first pilot project (apparently "on hold' at present) is with Fred Kayiwa who I know through my involvement in Minciu Sodas. I see you were interested in Minciu Sodas a couple of yours ago. I am deeply grateful to Andrius Kulikauskas for my "Minciu Sodas experience", for all that I learned there, and for the contacts and friends that I made.
I hope you will be interested in exploring how we might collaborate.
